ETO'S FUTURE PROJECT: ADVANCED LIVING CENTER

Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) President Metin Güler announced that after the completion of the new service building project, ETO will begin working on the Advanced Living Center Project, which will focus on elderly care services.

ETO’s Joint Meeting with Professional Committees

The October meeting of the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) was held with the participation of 41 professional committees, the disciplinary board, and the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board and TOBB Eskişehir Young Entrepreneurs Board. The meeting, which began with an opening speech by Meclis Chairman Halil İbrahim Ara, addressed various strategic goals and future projects of ETO, with President Metin Güler giving a presentation on the activities carried out from January to October 2024.

Record-Breaking Visitor Numbers for EFKM Events

In 2024, the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center hosted record numbers for major events, including 148,000 visitors for the Book Fair and 72,609 for the Eskişehir Agricultural Fair. At the Vehbi Koç Conference Center, 81,500 visitors were hosted, and in total, 399,000 people attended various business and cultural events held at the fairgrounds. Güler highlighted that ETO's strategic goal is to welcome 1 million unique visitors annually at the Eskişehir Fair and Convention Center (EFKM) by 2030, which is expected to significantly boost the local economy and increase trade opportunities for members.

New Service Building to Open in 2025

ETO’s new service building is under construction, and the internal renovations are progressing rapidly. Güler stated that the new facility will open its doors in 2025, ensuring that ETO will not need another service building for the next 100 years. The new archive facility has also been completed, ensuring the preservation of ETO's 131-year-old historical documents.

ETO’s Educational Impact

ETO President Metin Güler provided insights into the activities of ETO, including the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Museum (ETOMÜZE), which welcomed 45,202 visitors from 43 countries and 62 cities, making it one of Eskişehir’s most visited museums. ETO Academy also held 81 training sessions and seminars attended by 6,492 participants, with many chambers adopting ETO's model of offering personal and professional development programs.

Continued Support for Members

ETO has made significant progress in providing support to its members. In 2024, ETO facilitated Schengen visas for 131 members and met with foreign mission representatives 15 times. Through the Eskişehir EU Information Center, ETO reached 1,953 individuals via various events. ETO's member relations department visited 1,053 workplaces, while the tax and legal advisory services assisted 300 and 105 members, respectively.

ETO AVANTAJ Program Gains Popularity

The ETO AVANTAJ program has become increasingly popular, with 2,796 members using the platform to access discounted campaigns, totaling 262 offers. Güler stated that this program has enabled members to enjoy discounts of up to 60% on purchases.

Advanced Living Center Project to Begin After Service Building Completion

President Güler shared that after the completion of the new service building, ETO will embark on the Advanced Living Center Project aimed at providing elderly care services. This project, he emphasized, is a legacy project aimed at meeting the needs of Eskişehir’s aging population and supporting the city’s future growth.

Following the meeting, plaques and certificates were presented to professional committees that showed outstanding performance in 2024, including the Construction, Banking and Insurance Agencies, Telecommunications and IT, Durable Goods Trade, Stationery, Printing, Advertising and Photography, and Clothing and Leather Goods Manufacturing and Trade committees. The meeting concluded with a corporate representation and protocol management training session led by İhsan Ataöv.
