CELEBRATING THE 102ND ANNIVERSARY OF ESKİŞEHİR’S LIBERATION FROM ENEMY OCCUPATION

We are filled with pride and joy as we celebrate the 102nd anniversary of Eskişehir’s liberation from enemy occupation.

Eskişehir played a very significant role in the War of Independence. Our ancestors faced the enemy in the İnönü and Kütahya-Eskişehir battles, and they displayed an unparalleled example of struggle on these lands.

Regarding the heroism demonstrated by Eskişehir during the War of Independence, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, said, "I know Eskişehir and its people very well. During the National Struggle, they were always on our side with great patriotism and exceptional courage, providing vast assistance to our fight."

We are proud to be the descendants of those who liberated this land from enemy occupation and made it our homeland once again. On this meaningful occasion, the 102nd anniversary of Eskişehir’s liberation from enemy occupation, I commemorate the memory of our martyrs and veterans, especially our Republic’s founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with respect and gratitude.
