A total of 201,274 people attended fairs, congresses, business events, and cultural activities hosted by the Eskişehir Convention and Exhibition Center (EFKM) between January and May 2024.
The Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) has reported that the Eskişehir Convention and Exhibition Center, which serves the city and its members, reached a record number of visitors in the first five months of 2024. Events held at the ETO TÜYAP Exhibition Center and the Vehbi Koç Conference Center attracted a large number of visitors. In 2022, 20 events were held at EFKM during the January-May period, while this number increased to 44 in 2023 and 57 in 2024. During the January-May 2024 period, fairs, congresses, business meetings, and cultural activities welcomed 201,274 visitors.
Three Congresses and Symposiums Held in May
In May, EFKM hosted three congresses and symposiums, marking a significant achievement in promoting the city’s congress tourism. The Vehbi Koç Conference Center held the 23rd National Andrology Congress, the 4th National Nursing Management Congress, and the "Robotic and Automation Solutions for the Future of Industry" Symposium and Exhibition. Academics, doctors, and business professionals from all over Turkey participated in these congresses and symposiums.
Children Also Gathered at the Vehbi Koç Conference Center
The Eskişehir Convention and Exhibition Center has become a favorite not only for businesspeople and art enthusiasts but also for children. The Vehbi Koç Conference Center, operating under the slogan "Discover Happiness," has seen high attendance for musicals and children's plays staged there.
EFKM Contributes to Both the City's Economy and Cultural Life
In his evaluation of EFKM's activities, ETO President Metin Güler stated that the center has become a hub for business, culture, and art not only for merchants and industrialists but for the entire city. Expressing happiness at hosting 201,274 visitors in the January-May 2024 period, Güler emphasized that the events organized contribute value to Eskişehir's economy and cultural life. He also noted that EFKM aims to welcome 1 million visitors annually by 2030.
