Turkey's Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Semih Lütfü Turgut, met with Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler at his office. The visit was attended by members of the ETO board and assembly. Expressing his pleasure regarding the visit, ETO President Metin Güler congratulated Ambassador Turgut on his new position. He provided information about Eskişehir's prominent sectors and the activities of the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, stating that the Chamber is ready to fulfill its role in enhancing trade between Eskişehir, Turkey, and Sri Lanka. Güler emphasized the importance of Turkey and Eskişehir opening up to new markets, noting that new markets hold significant potential for increasing Eskişehir's exports.
Invitation to Eskişehir Businesspeople
During the visit, Ambassador Semih Lütfü Turgut mentioned that he would have the opportunity to closely evaluate steps to enhance mutual trade between Eskişehir and Sri Lanka after starting his duties. He pointed out that Sri Lanka is a leading country in textile, spice, tea, and rubber production, and expressed his commitment to identifying areas of cooperation between Turkey and Sri Lanka to promote mutual trade. Turgut also expressed his desire to see Eskişehir businesspeople in Sri Lanka to explore trade opportunities.
