The Eskişehir Book Fair, featuring 276 publishing houses and civil society organizations, and nearly 400 authors meeting with readers, has officially opened at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center.
The Eskişehir Book Fair was inaugurated with a ceremony at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center. The opening ceremony was attended by Eskişehir Governor Hüseyin Aksoy, Deputy Mayor of Eskişehir Hasan Ünal, Odunpazarı Mayor Kazım Kurt, Provincial Director of National Education Sinan Aydın, ETO President Metin Güler, ETO Assembly President Halil İbrahim Ara, President of the Turkish Publishers Association Kenan Kocatürk, General Manager of TÜYAP Fair Construction A.Ş. İlhan Ersözlü, along with representatives from the protocol and the business community.
Governor Aksoy Discusses the Economic Contribution of Fairs
Expressing great pleasure in attending the Book Fair held in Eskişehir, Governor Aksoy stated that the city has a significant cultural and artistic heritage. He emphasized the important role of the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center in Eskişehir's economic and cultural life, noting that organized fairs contribute to the economic vitality of Eskişehir.
Güler Thanks Organizations Contributing to the Fair's Organization
In his speech at the fair's opening, Deputy Mayor Hasan Ünal noted that they have created a valuable fair through joint efforts and expressed hope that the fair will continue in the coming years. ETO President Metin Güler highlighted the substantial contributions made to the city’s economy through fairs and cultural events held at the Eskişehir Fair Congress Center, thanking all institutions and organizations involved in organizing the Eskişehir Book Fair.
276 Publishing Houses Participating in the Fair
Kenan Kocatürk, President of the Turkish Publishers Association, mentioned that approximately 400,000 books are currently available to readers in Turkey, and around 100,000 books are expected to be showcased at the Eskişehir Book Fair. İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of TÜYAP Fair Construction A.Ş., stated that this year, the Eskişehir Book Fair has become one of the best-performing book fairs organized. In addition to 276 publishing houses, public institutions, civil society organizations, and educational institutions are also participating in the fair, which plans to host 93 events.
