New Service Building Will Contribute to Strategic Goals
Güler discussed the Eskişehir Fair and Congress Center, which started with a budget of 22 million lira and is projected to cost 1 billion lira upon completion. He stated that efforts are underway to ensure the new service building is operational by 2025, emphasizing that this will mark another significant achievement for ETO and facilitate reaching the goal of attracting 1 million visitors to the Fair and Congress Center each year.
Active Committees Recognized with Awards and Certificates
Güler acknowledged the significant efforts of ETO's professional committees in monitoring the pulse of the city's commerce and industry. He noted that the committees relay member requests and issues to ETO’s assembly and board, thus playing a role in problem-solving. He reported that in 2023, the professional committees conducted 555 meetings and made 650 sectoral decisions, with 292 actions taken based on these decisions and 45 institutional visits made.
Seminar on Human Relations and Communication
Emphasizing the importance of the professional committees' activities, Güler thanked the chairpersons and members for their contributions to raising and addressing the issues faced by traders and industrialists. At the end of the meeting, plaques and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the professional committees that generated the most requests and conducted the most visits in 2023, specifically the Retail Trade of Foodstuffs, Travel Agencies and Passenger Transport, Durable Consumer Goods Trade, Education and Rehabilitation, and Cargo Transportation committees. Following the meeting, a seminar on human relations and communication was conducted by TOBB trainer Dr. Cengiz Tavukçuoğlu.
