During his visit to ETO President Metin Güler, Hungarian Consul General in Istanbul Dr. Attila Pinter discussed steps to enhance the economic and cultural relations between Eskişehir and Hungary.
Dr. Attila Pinter, along with Trade Attaché Miklos Bujaky, met with ETO President Metin Güler to strengthen mutual relations and economic cooperation. The visit, which took place on February 22, Thursday, was also attended by ETO Board Member Hüsnü Ünalan and Assembly Secretary Çağrı Cansever. Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, President Güler noted that he had met with the business community in Hungary through both an organization held by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and a delegation from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). He also mentioned that ETO had signed a visa facilitation protocol with the Hungarian Embassy.
Güler Invites Hungarian Businesspeople to the Fair
Güler pointed out that the Eskişehir EU Information Center has organized multiple cultural and artistic events with Hungary and emphasized that ETO will continue to work on developing both cultural and economic cooperation between Eskişehir and Hungary. He expressed his pleasure in hosting businesspeople from Hungary at the Eskişehir Industry Fair, planned for November 2024, at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center.
Trade Volume Target Between the Two Countries is 6 Billion Dollars
During the visit, Hungarian Consul General Dr. Attila Pinter stated that cultural, social, and economic relations between Turkey and Hungary have been strengthening and developing, setting a bilateral trade volume target of 6 billion dollars. He noted that the trade volume between the two countries exceeded 4 billion dollars in 2023 and highlighted that the advancement of cultural and social relations brings along economic collaboration. Pinter expressed the readiness of the Hungarian Consulate in Istanbul to support the development of economic and cultural relations between Eskişehir and Hungary.
