During a visit by Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan, ETO President Metin Güler emphasized the need to address the financing requests of traders and industrialists, stating that POS fees, bank commissions, and export financing costs should be reduced.
Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan visited the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) on February 20, Tuesday, accompanied by Deputy General Manager Hasan Tuncay, Regional Manager Mükremin Gönül, and department heads. Traders and Industrialists Should Be Positioned Separately in Monetary Tightening
Güler acknowledged that monetary tightening is inevitable but asserted that traders and industrialists should be positioned differently in this context. He pointed out that ETO members frequently express their concerns about rising costs related to accessing finance. In addition, he highlighted that high POS costs, bank commissions, and export financing costs are putting pressure on businesses. Güler argued that traders and industrialists should be exempt from proposed credit card restrictions, stressing the need for firms to avoid adverse effects from economic developments.
