ETO PUBLİSHED THE DECEMBER ECONOMİC INDİCATORS REPORT

The Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce has released the December edition of the Eskişehir Economic Indicators Report.

The report, which compiles economic data specifically for its members on a monthly basis, provides insights into various economic metrics relevant to Eskişehir's economy.

The report includes monthly data on total export performance, import and export figures, housing sales, the number of new and closed businesses, the count of mandatory insurances under the 4A category, the number of paid checks, and the number of active income and corporate tax payers. Additionally, it covers the distribution of checks with insufficient funds, the distribution of protested promissory notes, the distribution of cash loans in Eskişehir, the central government budget revenues and expenditures, unemployment rates, employment statistics, total workplace count, and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) rates.

Decrease in the Number of Closed Businesses

The report also includes the number of building permits issued by the Tepebaşı and Odunpazarı municipalities. According to Central Bank data, the selling price of the dollar increased by 55.70% in 2023, and the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) rose by 44.22% annually and by 1.14% monthly. The report states that in December 2023, the number of newly registered businesses was 214, while 372 businesses closed. It further highlights that in 2021, 1,300 businesses closed, followed by 1,277 closures in 2022, and a decline to 942 closures in 2023.
