OCTOBER ECONOMİC REPORT SHARED

The Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) has released its October Economic Indicators Report, detailing key statistics on Eskişehir's exports, housing sales, and the amounts of paid and bounced checks.

The October edition of the Eskişehir Economic Indicators Report, prepared by ETO to help its members closely monitor developments in the economy, has been published. The report includes month-by-month total export performance, import and export figures, housing sales numbers, the number of new and closed business operations, the number of mandatory insurances under the 4A framework, and details on paid checks. Additionally, it covers the distribution of bounced checks, the distribution of protested promissory notes, central government budget revenues and expenditures, unemployment rates, employee statistics, and Consumer Price Index (CPI) rates. According to the report, as of the fourth quarter of 2023, Eskişehir's export figures increased by 12.86% compared to the first nine months of the previous year.

Paid Check Amount Increased by 23.27%

According to data from the Turkish Banking Association, the amount of paid checks in Eskişehir rose from 1,405,023 TL in September 2022 to 1,732,013 TL in September 2023, reflecting a 23.27% increase. The report also highlights critical details regarding the Eskişehir economy. It points out that the total amount of bounced check transactions increased significantly from 8,659 TL in September 2022 to 21,928 TL in September 2023, marking a 153.24% rise.
