The efforts of the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Committee to promote Gender Equality have resulted in the introduction of an elective course titled "Educational Inequality" at Anadolu University’s Faculty of Education.
Thanks to the initiatives of the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Committee, a significant achievement has been made in the framework of Gender Equality. The university has launched an elective course called "Educational Inequality." The first students enrolled in this course are from the Classroom Teaching program. Elif Gürkaynak, the President of the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Committee, attended the first class as a speaker.
TOBB and ETO Supported Gender Equality Efforts
During the class, Elif Gürkaynak expressed her happiness that the topic of "Educational Inequality" has been offered as an elective course, highlighting the committee's long-standing work on Gender Equality. She noted that extensive activities have been carried out with the support of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce to promote the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). Gürkaynak also mentioned visiting local institutions and organizations to promote these principles.

Emphasizing the importance of Gender Equality, Gürkaynak expressed her pleasure that this topic has been chosen by prospective teachers who will be educating future generations. She extended her gratitude to Anadolu University Rector Prof. Dr. Fuat Erdal and the management of the Faculty of Education for the establishment of the "Educational Inequality" course and provided information to the students about the ongoing efforts of the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Committee regarding Gender Equality. At the end of the class, Elif Gürkaynak took commemorative photos with the students.
