The Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce has published the Eskişehir Economic Indicators September Report to help its members closely follow developments in the economy. The report includes information on exchange rates and gold prices, monthly export performance, import and export figures, housing sales numbers, and the number of new and closed businesses. It also provides information on paid checks, distribution of bounced checks, distribution of protested promissory notes, unemployment rates, and employment statistics.
Exports and Housing Sales Increased in Eskişehir
The report highlights that, according to TÜİK data, Eskişehir's export figures for the first quarter of 2023 increased by 16% compared to the first quarter of the previous year, and housing sales in August 2023 rose by 16.73% compared to the previous month. Additionally, the report indicates that the number of firms removed from the Eskişehir Trade Registry in September 2023 decreased by 19.99% compared to 2021-2022. It also notes that the total amount of checks paid in August 2023 increased by 29.93% compared to August 2022, and the amount of bounced checks during the same period rose by 0.64%.
