EXCITEMENT FOR THE 3RD INDUSTRY FAIR AT ETO TÜYAP FAIR CENTER

The opening ceremony of the 3rd Industry Fair in Eskişehir, organized with the support of the Defense Industry Presidency and hosted by the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center, was held with the participation of protocol members and representatives from the business community.

The Eskişehir 3rd Industry Fair was held at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center within the Eskişehir Fair Congress Center (EFKM) on September 27, Wednesday. The opening ceremony was attended by Eskişehir Governor Hüseyin Aksoy, Deputy Minister of Defense Hüseyin Avşar, CHP Eskişehir MP Jale Nur Süllü, İYİ Party Eskişehir MP İdris Nebi Hatipoğlu, Odunpazarı District Governor Ömer Ulu, Deputy Mayor of Eskişehir Hasan Ünal, ETO President Metin Güler, Eskişehir Chamber of Industry President Celalettin Kesikbaş, Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone President Nadir Küpeli, TÜYAP Fair Construction AŞ General Manager İlhan Ersözlü, and various representatives from the business world.

Eskişehir’s Exports Reached $4 Billion, Doubling in Five Years

During the ceremony, Governor Hüseyin Aksoy highlighted Eskişehir's significant potential in the industrial sector, noting the increase in the number of firms engaged in R&D and design in recent years. He stated that Eskişehir's exports have doubled over the last five years, reaching $4 billion, with KOSGEB providing 164 million lira and TÜBİTAK contributing 804 million lira in support to the region.

The Fair Plays a Crucial Role in Cooperation and Exports

Deputy Minister of Defense Hüseyin Avşar emphasized that they have supported the Eskişehir Industry Fair for three years and that firms under the Defense Industry Presidency participated in the event. He pointed out the importance of the cooperation and export connections established at the fair for the economy, adding that the Ministry aims to support the development of high value-added product manufacturing to increase per capita income above $20,000.

Green Transformation is Crucial for Industrial Production

CHP Eskişehir MP Jale Nur Süllü noted Eskişehir's continuous development, stating that the support of the industrial sector is undeniable. She emphasized the importance of green transformation in industrial production, especially during a period of intense climate crisis, and mentioned that the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone has supported facilities that generate their own electricity.

Eskişehir Industry Strengthened with New Investments and Vision

İYİ Party Eskişehir MP İdris Nebi Hatipoğlu thanked the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and all institutions involved in organizing the fair. He stated that the Eskişehir industry has historically functioned as a sub-industry but has recently made investments in defense and rail systems, positively impacting the local economy thanks to the vision of the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry and the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone.

Eskişehir Contributes to the National Economy with High Value-Added Products

Hasan Ünal, Deputy Mayor of Eskişehir, emphasized the transformation occurring in the Eskişehir industry, stating that the city now produces high value-added products contributing to both the city and national economy. He noted that TEI has been a pioneer in this transformation, with the private sector also supporting it.

Support from the Defense Industry Presidency is Vital

ETO President Metin Güler highlighted the significant advancements made in the defense industry over the past 15 years and stated that the growing role of the private sector has directly contributed to its development. He expressed his hope that the Defense Industry Presidency would continue to support the Eskişehir 3rd Industry Fair in 2024.

The Fair Supports Trade for Companies in Eskişehir

Eskişehir Chamber of Industry President Celalettin Kesikbaş congratulated ETO for the fair, noting that it provides numerous firms with trade opportunities. He remarked on the importance of holding the industry fair in a period where efficiency, sustainability, green transformation, and digitization are crucial.

Eskişehir Industry Fair Has Quickly Become a Tradition

Nadir Küpeli, President of the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone, stressed the importance of the fair for the Eskişehir industry, stating that the Eskişehir Industry Fair has made significant progress towards becoming a traditional event in a short time. He thanked all institutions contributing to the organization of the fair, especially the Defense Industry Presidency.

60 of the 100 Participating Firms Are from Eskişehir

TÜYAP Fair Construction AŞ General Manager İlhan Ersözlü mentioned that the Eskişehir Industry Fair has been held for the third time and continues to strengthen each year. He noted that the fair plays a significant role in connecting local producers with important firms in the aviation, defense, and industrial sectors. He added that around 100 firms participated, with 60% being from Eskişehir.

Following the speeches, the opening of the Eskişehir Industry Fair was officially marked with the cutting of the ribbon.
