The Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) held its September assembly meeting. The meeting began with an opening speech by Assembly President Halil İbrahim Ara at the Mustafa Çekiç Meeting Hall, where agenda items were discussed and decided upon. Speaking at the meeting held on September 26, Vice President Özgür Alp noted that September was a busy month filled with fairs and events. He highlighted that agricultural and rail system fairs were organized at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center, and that September would conclude with the Industrial Fair. Alp pointed out that interest in the fairs held at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center has increased every year and mentioned that the B2B meetings scheduled concurrently with the Industrial Fair would connect SMEs with major companies in the defense industry and manufacturing.
New Strategic Goal: To Make EFKM the Most Effective Business and Culture Center in Anatolia
Alp also discussed ETO's strategic goals for the upcoming period, stating that cultural, artistic, and fair activities at EFKM (Eskişehir Fair Congress Center) would continue to increase. He expressed that the priority for the chamber in the near future is to complete the new service building and transform EFKM into a vibrant business and cultural center, active 24/7, that serves not only Anatolia but the entire country. He indicated that efforts in line with this strategic goal have already begun, with plans to establish new living spaces, cafes, and restaurants at EFKM.
Low-Interest Loans Should Be Provided to Traders for a Sustainable Economy
Regarding the economy of the country and Eskişehir, Vice President Özgür Alp underscored the ongoing credit needs of traders, industrialists, and shopkeepers. He emphasized the importance of having access to credit under suitable conditions for a sustainable economy, stating that low-interest loans should be made available to traders.
