ETO DELEGATION VISITS ESKİŞEHİR MPS IN ANKARA

ETO President Metin Güler, accompanied by a delegation, visited Eskişehir’s Members of Parliament at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, wishing them success in their new roles and presenting a file containing the demands of ETO members and priorities for Eskişehir.

The ETO delegation, including Assembly President Halil İbrahim Ara, board members, and assembly council members, conducted a series of visits at the Turkish Grand National Assembly. On June 21, Wednesday, the ETO team met with CHP Eskişehir MPs Jale Nur Süllü, İbrahim Arslan, and Utku Çakırözer, İYİ Party Eskişehir MP Nebi Hatipoğlu, and AK Party Eskişehir MPs Ayşe Gürcan and Fatih Dönmez. During the visits, ETO President Metin Güler wished the MPs success in their new responsibilities and presented them with a file outlining Eskişehir’s priorities and the requests of ETO members.

Issues and Requests of ETO Members Highlighted

In the file presented to the Eskişehir MPs, Güler emphasized the urgent need for the rapid implementation of the Northern Ring Road Project and the continuation of Eskişehir’s mission in rail systems. The file addressed various issues faced by ETO members, including difficulties in accessing credit, rising fuel prices, the irregular payment of contracts by public sector firms, the challenge for SMEs to find qualified personnel, and the competitive difficulties posed by chain supermarkets. Additionally, the file called for the establishment of new zoning areas in Eskişehir, the application of a cap on residential rent increases for businesses, and the provision of a record clearance for traders.

Emphasis on "Eskişehir First" During Visits

Güler stressed during the visits that Eskişehir MPs should set aside party affiliations when discussing matters concerning the city and work together around the same table for the future of Eskişehir. He highlighted the importance of a unified effort by all MPs to address the city’s issues.
