Hosted by the Eskişehir EU Information Center, which operates under ETO, and supported by the EU Delegation to Turkey and the embassies of EU member states, "European Film Week" is set to begin in Eskişehir.
From June 16 to June 22, a selection of 16 European films that are not available in cinemas will be screened at Kanatlı AVM Cinema Pink. The films span various genres, including drama, comedy, documentary, and adventure. Free tickets for each screening will be available at the cinema box office one day prior to the show.
The European Film Week, starting in Eskişehir, will also be held in Trabzon, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Edirne, Mersin, and Samsun.
16 Films Open to the Public for Free
The screenings of films that showcase the diverse cultures and stories of European cinema will kick off on June 16, Friday, with “Infinite Garden” from Bulgaria and “The Most Successful Production” from France. On June 17, Saturday, audiences will enjoy “Girl Students” from Spain, “Pharmacist Melchior” from Estonia, and “It Will Never Snow Again” from Poland. Sunday, June 18, will feature “The Gods of Molenbeek” from Belgium, “Going Out with Amber” from Ireland, and “Unsolved” from Sweden. On June 19, Monday, the films “Wild Amsterdam” from the Netherlands and “Oskar and Lilli” from Austria will be shown. On June 20, Tuesday, “Luzzu” from Malta and “My Marriage Life” from Latvia will be screened. June 21, Wednesday, will showcase “I’m Fine” from Italy and “Aurora” from Finland. The European Film Week will conclude on June 22, Thursday, with “The Runner” from Lithuania and “Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush” from Germany.
