The online introductory meeting for the Eskişehir E-Commerce Center, which will guide ETO members interested in e-commerce, along with the panel “Commerce from Tradition to Future: E-Commerce,” was held on the ETOTV YouTube channel.
Supported by the Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) and implemented by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, the Eskişehir E-Commerce Center project was introduced in an online meeting. During the event, ETO Deputy Secretary-General Arda Genç provided a detailed presentation on the center's work and scope. ETO President Metin Güler expressed his pleasure in launching the Eskişehir E-Commerce Center, recognizing e-commerce as essential for members. Güler noted that the pandemic highlighted the importance of e-commerce, with the center providing technical support and consultancy to members interested in entering this field with BEBKA’s assistance.
E-Commerce’s Growing Importance
Following Güler’s remarks, the panel "Commerce from Tradition to Future: E-Commerce" featured Mustafa Namoğlu, CEO of İKAS, and Emre Demir, CEO of aZall.com. Namoğlu discussed İKAS’s mission to offer the latest solutions for SMEs wishing to establish and manage their e-commerce operations on a single platform. With 100 employees and three international offices, Namoğlu shared İKAS’s goal to become the largest software company emerging from Turkey.
Namoğlu offered advice for companies starting in e-commerce, explaining that SMEs can either sell through their own websites or use global e-commerce marketplaces.
E-Commerce: The Key to Reaching the New Generation
Emre Demir, CEO of aZall.com, emphasized that the Eskişehir E-Commerce Center serves over 8,000 businesses with e-commerce potential, making it a valuable opportunity for local traders and those interested in e-commerce. Demir highlighted that changing consumption habits, especially among the younger generation, are reshaping commerce, predicting that traditional trade will decline as online commerce dominates the future.
