ETO PRESIDENT GÜLER MEETS WITH FINNISH AMBASSADOR MAKI FOR COOPERATION

ETO President Metin Güler met with Finland’s Ambassador to Ankara, Ari Mäki, to discuss steps to enhance trade between Eskişehir and Finland.

The meeting on Thursday, October 13, included Finland’s Commercial Counselor Joona Selin and Second Secretary Janne Leskinen, along with ETO Board Member Ali Ateş. Ambassador Mäki expressed a desire to strengthen economic and social ties between Finland and Eskişehir and noted Finland’s interest in establishing contact with ETO, one of Eskişehir’s most established economic organizations. Ambassador Mäki also shared insights into Finland’s economy and discussed identifying sectors where Eskişehir and Finland could collaborate.

Working to Enhance Eskişehir's International Trade

ETO President Metin Güler briefed Ambassador Mäki and the Finnish delegation on Eskişehir’s trade and industrial potential, emphasizing ETO’s commitment to supporting the city’s international trade expansion. Güler highlighted Eskişehir’s strong industrial base and skilled workforce, positioning it as a leading city in Anatolia, and expressed readiness to establish a foundation for robust trade and industrial collaboration between Finland and Eskişehir. He noted ETO’s dedication to global partnerships, mentioning the recent cooperation protocol with VOKA, the East Flanders Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Belgium. Güler also provided information on ETO’s Eskişehir Innovation, Software, and R&D Clustering (ESİYAK) project, which supports Eskişehir’s software and IT sectors.
