Following the organ member elections, the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) held additional elections for its assembly board and other organ members.
The elections, held on October 1, 2022, at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center, established the assembly board, executive board, disciplinary board, TOBB delegates, and committee heads who will serve from 2022 to 2026. Halil İbrahim Ara was re-elected as Assembly President, with Metin Öztürk and İbrahim Atilla Sabahcı continuing as vice presidents. Çağrı Cansever was elected as Assembly Clerk. This election cycle brought notable changes, with 55% of assembly members replaced, and a younger average age within the assembly.
Executive Board and TOBB Delegates Announced
Metin Güler was re-elected as Chairman of the Executive Board. The new executive board members are Ali Ateş, Emre Demir, Hüsnü Ünalan, İsmail Çavdar, Kaan Toraman, Mehmet Kahya, Orhan Köksal, Özgür Alp, and Yasin Bakılan. The TOBB General Assembly Delegates include Ali Ufuk Yılmaz, Emirhan Çokaygil, Gürbüz Özkaya, Halil İbrahim Ara, Hürcan Alhan, İbrahim Eldem, İrfan Gümüş, İsmail Çavdar, Kerem Can Apaydın, Metin Çavuşoğlu, Metin Güler, Metin Öztürk, Mithat Yatır, Murat Destici, Orhan Köksal, Özgür Alp, Recep Can, and Sermet Özgöde. The disciplinary board members elected were Ali Şemseddin Koşar, Ayhan Oskaylar, Bülent Şarlar, Volkan Ay, and Yusuf Gür Türk.
Setting ETO’s 2022-2026 Strategy
ETO President Metin Güler expressed gratitude to members for entrusting him with another term as president and extended his best wishes for the new term. He stated that all organ members serving from 2022 to 2026 are committed to boosting Eskişehir’s economy and expanding trade for ETO members. Güler announced that, with full participation from all organ members, ETO will soon draft a strategic roadmap for 2022-2026 to support the city’s economic development.
