Top names in e-commerce and e-export gathered with Eskişehir traders and industrialists to share their experiences in an event organized by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) in collaboration with WORLDEF.
ETO, in partnership with WORLDEF, hosted another major event to support the sectoral growth of its members. Sponsored by Türkiye İş Bankası and organized by aZall.com, the event brought together successful figures in e-commerce and e-export. During the opening speech, ETO President Metin Güler expressed his satisfaction with the high interest shown in the event, noting that it provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs who started from scratch and those looking to expand their businesses to connect. Güler emphasized the growing importance of e-commerce and e-export, stating that it has become challenging to achieve growth without integrating e-commerce into business. He added that ETO actively supports its members in this area, providing assistance with website creation, product photography, and more through its E-Commerce Center project.
WORLDEF President Nart Shares Insights on Current Efforts
WORLDEF President Ömer Nart spoke about the continued contribution of WORLDEF Prime conferences to the e-commerce ecosystem. He noted their efforts to foster the growth of e-export, highlighting that global e-commerce marketplaces have a total volume of $250 billion, and they aim to expand Turkey’s e-export sector, currently valued at $2 billion. Nart also introduced the Deal Maker application, which facilitates access to high-level executives from brands like Zalando, Fruugo, Google, and Facebook.
Eskişehir’s E-Commerce Success Stories Discussed
Ahmet Kolukırık, Sales Manager at Türkiye İş Bankası Moka, discussed the significant transformations that have brought e-commerce to its current level, noting the leading roles of China and the USA. Hakan Cırcır, Board Member of the Electronic Commerce Association (ELİDER), stated that ELİDER was established to support e-commerce operators and address industry challenges. Following the opening remarks, panels featuring successful names in e-commerce and e-export took place. The panel titled "Eskişehir E-Commerce Success Stories," moderated by aZall.com CEO Emre Demir, included Growth Lead CEO Can Akalın, RAZORUS.com Founder Noyan Sakarya, and Oksit Giyim Founder Mustafa Cihan Bozat, who shared their experiences.
