Commenting on face-to-face meetings conducted with 8,066 members across 57 neighborhoods, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) President Metin Güler highlighted that member satisfaction with ETO has increased. He reiterated ETO's commitment to voicing members' demands and facilitating their business operations.
ETO’s Member Relations Unit visited businesses in 57 neighborhoods to understand traders' needs and challenges. During these visits, members were asked about ETO's services, activities, and projects, including whether the chamber effectively addressed their concerns and if they were satisfied with the free training, seminars, fairs, and consulting services provided. Results indicated that 83% of members were satisfied with ETO’s services and activities, and 81% believed ETO was adequately addressing trade and member issues.
Key Issues Affecting Members Identified
During the visits, members also shared the challenges they face in business and economic perspectives. The most frequently mentioned issues included increasing operational costs with decreasing profitability, capital shortages, high bank loan interest rates, and increasing obligations. Members expressed concerns about difficulties in replacing stock and the steep rise in rent, utility bills, and other operating expenses. Additionally, the rising cost of personnel was frequently cited as a significant challenge.
Higher Service Quality Leads to Increased Satisfaction
ETO President Metin Güler expressed gratitude for the positive response from members. He emphasized that feedback from these visits was communicated to relevant institutions, including TOBB and related ministries, to pursue solutions. Güler stated that ETO remains engaged in understanding economic dynamics and members' needs through these site visits, aiming to remove trade barriers. He noted that ETO now provides services at global standards, certified by ISO 10002 and international accreditation systems, which has contributed to increased satisfaction among members. With over 17,000 members, Güler affirmed that ETO will continue to add value to Eskişehir's economy.
