In a meeting held at the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO), organized to promote health tourism in Eskişehir, industry representatives were informed about the support available for health tourism.
Efforts by ETO to advance health tourism in Eskişehir have gained momentum. Representatives of health institutions in Eskişehir gathered at ETO to be briefed on the “Discover Eskişehir” project and the Health Tourism Certificate. Speaking before the meeting, ETO President Metin Güler highlighted Eskişehir’s infrastructure and potential in health tourism, noting that they initiated the “Discover Eskişehir” project to add new sectors to the Eskişehir economy and ensure Eskişehir receives its rightful share of health tourism. Güler stated that the project aims to establish Eskişehir as a significant player in international health tourism and mentioned the project’s promotion in Belgium, where it was met with strong interest from Turkish civil society organizations and citizens.
Full Support from ETO for the Health Sector
Güler emphasized that health tourism could make a substantial long-term contribution to Eskişehir’s economy and expressed their desire for the hundreds of businesses operating in the sector to benefit from the support available for health tourism. He stressed the importance of companies in the field obtaining the Health Tourism Authorization Certificate, which would enable them to access non-repayable support from the Ministry of Health. Güler assured that ETO is ready to provide full support to help health institutions in Eskişehir acquire this certificate.
Information Provided to Institutions on Health Tourism Certificate
During the meeting, ETO presented the scope and details of the “Discover Eskişehir” project. In addition, Head of Health Services and Emergency Health Services, Op. Dr. Ersin Işıldı, Deputy Head Dr. Gökhan Özboz, and Health Services Unit Manager Mesut Karlı provided information about the Health Tourism Authorization Certificate. Representatives of health institutions attending the meeting were briefed on the process of obtaining the Health Tourism Certificate and the incentives and grants available to certified institutions.
