The Eskişehir EU Information Center and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center organized both educational and entertaining activities for university students as part of the Europe Day Youth Meetings.
Operating under the ETO, the Eskişehir EU Information Center celebrated Europe Day by gathering with youth. The Europe Day Youth Meetings, organized in cooperation with the Eskişehir EU Information Center and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center, took place with support from the European Union Delegation to Turkey. Throughout the day, university students attended sessions on EU youth projects, educational opportunities, and volunteer services.
Talks and Sessions Held Throughout the Day
The talks featured speakers such as Emirhan Aslan, Youth Mobility Coordinator at the Turkish National Agency & Eurodesk Turkey National Coordinator, and Dr. Cafer Yıldırım, European Solidarity Program Coordinator at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. Serdar Koçar from the Young Academy Association Eurodesk Contact Point also shared experiences regarding educational and volunteer projects in EU countries with both Turkish and international students. The outdoor event attracted great interest, with young participants enjoying horse riding, various games, and musical activities between panel sessions.
ETO President Güler Joins Youth
ETO President Metin Güler attended the Europe Day Youth Meetings organized by the Eskişehir EU Information Center, conversing with young attendees. Güler emphasized the importance of youth to the nation, noting that Turkey’s greatest asset is its educated young people. He stated that youth will shape the future of Turkey and Eskişehir, and for this reason, ETO will continue to support them, with its doors always open. Güler highlighted that the Eskişehir EU Information Center has held numerous events to promote the EU in the city, providing young people and children with opportunities to learn more about the EU.
