Yusuf Ziya Uludüz, a board member of the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce, visited Eskişehir with members of the Metal and Machinery Professional Committee to discuss issues in the machinery and metal sectors. ETO President Metin Güler hosted the Kocaeli delegation at the Vehbi Koç Congress Center, expressing his appreciation for the visit and emphasizing the dedication of metal and machinery sector companies to continue working for the country despite challenges. The Kocaeli delegation also held a consultation meeting with Eskişehir industrialists in the same industry at ETO, attended by ETO Vice President Ali Koşar and members of ETO’s Metal Products and Other Manufacturing and Machinery and Spare Parts Manufacturing Committees.
Industrialists Identify Sector Challenges
During the meeting, participants discussed key issues in the sector, including the shortage of skilled workers, steps to stabilize raw material prices, compensation for losses caused by currency fluctuations, training programs to enhance employee productivity, and initiatives to support the institutionalization of small-scale companies.
Issues to Be Reported to Relevant Institutions
ETO Vice President Ali Koşar noted that the metal and machinery manufacturing committees from the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and ETO came together to discuss challenges and potential solutions for the sector. He confirmed that the identified issues would be compiled into a report and forwarded to relevant institutions, including TOBB.
