The “Current Developments in Mediation Panel” was held on ETOTV, offering comprehensive insights into mediation and detailing all aspects of the system. The panel was moderated by ETO Mediation Center Board Member Attorney and Mediator Eda Gölpek Tekebaşoğlu. Held via teleconference, the panel featured TOBBUYUM General Manager Dr. Onur Yüksel, who shared information on the global position of mediation and the TOBBUYUM system.

Mediation Has Roots in the Ahilik Culture

Dr. Onur Yüksel described mediation as a voluntary resolution system used by parties in disputes, noting its presence in the historical Ahilik culture. He stated that, as of today, mediation and arbitration services are available in 55 chambers of commerce and industry through TOBBUYUM’s collaboration. Highlighting that both parties win when they reach an agreement, Dr. Yüksel emphasized the holistic nature of the mediation system, which involves a thorough preparatory phase to resolve disputes.
