ETO AND ESOGÜ MEET FOR COOPERATION

To foster collaboration between the university and the private sector, enabling Eskişehir’s traders and entrepreneurs to benefit from ESOGÜ's scientific expertise and technical infrastructure, a consultation meeting was held with ETO President Metin Güler and ESOGÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kemal Şenocak.

Prof. Dr. Kemal Şenocak, Rector of Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ), accompanied by his team, visited the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) on January 28 to discuss strengthening university-industry partnerships and exploring potential joint initiatives. Rector Şenocak emphasized that ESOGÜ aims to contribute to Eskişehir's industry, private sector, and entrepreneurship, adding that the university is equipped with both academic and technical resources to achieve this goal.

Establishment of a Working Group and Coordinator Suggested

Discussing the university’s technopark initiatives, Şenocak proposed forming a project and working group to enhance cooperation between ETO and ESOGÜ. He suggested adding comprehensive sections about university-industry collaboration on both institutions’ websites and appointing a coordinator from each organization to strengthen communication and cooperation. Şenocak also noted the importance of responsibilities shared between universities and the business sector in advancing these collaborations.

University-Industry Partnership Will Benefit Eskişehir

ETO President Metin Güler expressed his pleasure at meeting with Rector Prof. Dr. Kemal Şenocak and the ESOGÜ team to support Eskişehir’s economy and local businesses. He acknowledged ESOGÜ’s nearly 30 years of contribution to developing a skilled workforce both in Eskişehir and across the country. Güler stated that merging ESOGÜ’s academic strengths and technical infrastructure with the private sector would ultimately benefit Eskişehir. He emphasized ETO's commitment to providing full support for establishing a foundation for cooperation and highlighted the need to bridge the university with Eskişehir’s business community and vice versa.

Discussion on Sectors Suitable for Collaboration
