The Eskişehir Construction Fair, held for the second time at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center, brought together stakeholders from the construction industry.
The Eskişehir Construction Fair (Eskişehir 2nd Construction Fair 2021 for Building Materials, Installation, Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Natural Gas, and Technologies) opened its doors with a ceremony on November 25, Thursday. The event was attended by Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız, MHP Eskişehir MP Metin Nurullah Sazak, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler, Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone President Nadir Küpeli, TÜYAP Bursa and TÜYAP Konya Fair General Manager İlhan Ersözlü, and numerous guests.
Governor Ayyıldız Highlights the Importance of the Construction Sector
Governor Erol Ayyıldız expressed his pleasure at the realization of the second Eskişehir Construction Fair and hoped that the event would add value to the city and the industry. He emphasized the significance of the construction sector in the country’s economy and stated that fairs serve as important meeting points for companies in the sector. Governor Ayyıldız also thanked the institutions and organizations that contributed to the organization of the fair.
Over 1 Million Visitors to EKFM
In his opening speech, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler stated that the last fair of the year is being held and that the number of visitors to the Eskişehir Fair Congress Center will exceed one million with the second Construction Fair. He mentioned that the construction fair has long been a dream for Eskişehir and expressed happiness that businesspeople from 12 different countries are now hosted in the city. Güler also noted that, in addition to international guests, businesspeople from 40 different cities within Turkey came to Eskişehir for the fair, thus providing advantages to both the business community and the city.
Küpeli Emphasizes the Importance of Fairs in Trade
During the ceremony, Nadir Küpeli, President of Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone, stated that it is pleasing to hold a fair in Eskişehir even during the pandemic with strong participation. He indicated that they support all fairs related to industry and manufacturing and confirmed that they also supported the second Eskişehir Construction Fair for this purpose. Küpeli mentioned that Turkey ranks 9th globally with a construction export of 21 billion dollars and highlighted the importance of fairs for promoting companies and showcasing their products.
Five Fair Organizations Planned for 2022
TÜYAP Bursa and TÜYAP Konya Fair General Manager İlhan Ersözlü expressed happiness at hosting a fair organization in Eskişehir, noting that they closed this year with three fairs despite the pandemic, and they aim to hold five fair organizations in Eskişehir in 2022. İbrahim Arslan, speaking on behalf of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, stated that the fair brings together all stakeholders from architects to engineers, in addition to companies in the sector. He noted that the Metropolitan Municipality's company also had a booth at the fair and emphasized their effort to participate in all organizations that contribute to the city.
Following the opening speeches, the protocol and business community visited the firms showcasing at the Eskişehir 2nd Construction Fair. The fair features nearly 70 companies from the construction and real estate sector, and it will host meetings and events where local businesspeople can connect with foreign purchasing delegations.
