Mutual Benefits from Collaboration
During the meeting, ETO President Metin Güler highlighted Eskişehir’s strategic position and its trade and industrial potential, stating that it is one of Turkey's key industrial regions with a diversified industrial production base comprising small, medium, and large enterprises. Güler noted that since 2016, there has been a Free Trade Agreement between Turkey and Moldova, emphasizing the potential to transform this agreement into a mutually beneficial collaboration for both Eskişehir firms and Moldova.
Aiming to Increase the Number of Companies Working with Moldova
Güler expressed readiness to create a platform for enhancing mutual trade through fairs held at the Eskişehir Fair Center and upcoming business meetings that can bring Moldovan and Turkish entrepreneurs together. Currently, seven ETO member firms are engaged in business with Moldova, and Güler expressed his desire to significantly increase this number, underscoring that Eskişehir offers opportunities for both investors and traders.
Commitment to Strengthen Cooperation Between Moldova and Eskişehir
Ambassador Dmitri Croitor stated that Moldova provides visa exemptions and easy travel arrangements for Turkish citizens, indicating that these steps aim to enhance economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. He acknowledged the potential of Eskişehir in trade and industry and expressed the embassy's intent to contribute to developing collaboration in identified sectors. Croitor reassured that Moldovan investments and business operations can be easily conducted by Eskişehir entrepreneurs, offering support from the embassy to facilitate their endeavors.
