GÜLER PRESENTS TRADERS' AND ESKİŞEHİR'S PRIORITIES TO PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN

Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler submitted a report detailing the expectations of members and the key demands of Eskişehir to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a meeting at the Vehbi Koç Congress Center.

Metin Güler met with President Erdoğan as part of the AK Party Provincial Advisory Council Meeting. During this meeting, he presented a document outlining the primary requests of traders and Eskişehir. The report highlighted essential issues such as the Northern Ring Road, the opening of Hasan Polatkan Airport for domestic flights and its use as a cargo hub, and the importance of establishing a railway connection between Hasanbey Logistics Center and Gemlik Port.

Conveying Eskişehir's and Traders' Priorities to the Highest State Authority

The document also addressed concerns raised by traders in 2020 and 2021, including unfair competition caused by chain markets, fluctuations in currency exchange rates, developments in the housing sector, requests from firms working with public institutions, and economic expectations. In a statement regarding his meeting with President Erdoğan, Güler emphasized that chambers have continuously communicated the business community's demands to the president through TOBB (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey). He noted that this time, he had the opportunity to convey Eskişehir's expectations and members' priorities directly to President Erdoğan. Güler stated that by submitting the report, they were able to relay Eskişehir’s key issues and requests once again to the highest state authority.
