ETO President Metin Güler emphasized the need to diversify sectors for potential collaboration to enhance mutual trade during a meeting with Svetoslav Kirkov, the Trade Attaché of Bulgaria in Ankara.
Kirkov visited the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce to discuss trade relations between Eskişehir and Bulgaria and to enhance cooperation between both parties. During the meeting, President Güler provided Kirkov with insights into Eskişehir’s trade and industrial potential. He highlighted that Eskişehir stands out among Anatolian cities due to its commerce, industry, and tourism potential, particularly noting the city’s leading role in the production of high-tech and value-added products.
“Mutually Beneficial Collaborations Are Possible”
Güler pointed out that Eskişehir offers significant opportunities for investors, mentioning collaboration possibilities in various sectors including white goods, aviation, rail systems, and mining. He stated that the ETO supports investments that contribute to the city’s development and highlighted that the Eskişehir Fuar Kongre Merkezi was established with this vision. Güler expressed his desire to see more Bulgarian businesspeople participating in the fairs held at the ETO TÜYAP Fair Center, emphasizing that both sides could sign partnerships that would enhance mutual trade volume and be beneficial for everyone involved.
Fairs as a Key Opportunity to Bring Turkish and Bulgarian Businesspeople Together
In the meeting, Bulgaria's Trade Attaché Svetoslav Kirkov noted that they closely monitor Eskişehir's trade and industrial potential, expressing willingness to contribute to planning events and meetings where both parties’ business communities could come together. He acknowledged the positive relationship between Bulgaria and Turkey in terms of both neighborhood and economic ties, expressing a desire to further advance this dialogue. Kirkov also mentioned that Bulgaria's economy is progressing, and he would be pleased if Turkish businesspeople could benefit from this momentum and if both sides could profit. He positively responded to Güler’s invitation to participate in the fairs, stating that these events could serve as a platform to bring Bulgarian and Turkish businesspeople together.
