Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) President Metin Güler and his accompanying delegation paid a "get well soon visit" to various chambers in Antalya, discussing common issues faced by members, particularly in the service sector.
During their visit, ETO President Metin Güler and the delegation met with members of the chambers under the Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliği (TOBB). They held discussions with TOBB Board Member and Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Davut Çetin, focusing on the demands and expectations of members. The meeting highlighted the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to the economies of both Eskişehir and Antalya, particularly the slowdown experienced in the service sector. The importance of the service sector to the economies of both cities was emphasized, along with discussions on potential solutions to the sector's problems.
Visit to Antalya Commodity Exchange
The ETO delegation's second stop was to meet with Antalya Commodity Exchange President Ali Çandır. President Güler extended his condolences regarding the recent wildfires, noting that the tragedy had affected the entire country and that all organizations, from NGOs to chambers, were mobilized to help. Ali Çandır provided information about the damage caused by the fires and expressed his gratitude to the ETO delegation for both their visit and the assistance they had provided during the crisis.
Discussions on Fire and Pandemic Effects at Manavgat TSO
The last stop for the ETO delegation in Antalya was with Seydi Tahsin Güngör, President of the Manavgat Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Güngör expressed his appreciation for Güler’s attention during the wildfires and the support provided to local citizens through the aid campaign. He noted that the impacts of the fires were particularly intense in the district, and the economic consequences of both the pandemic and the recent fires were challenging the region. He highlighted ongoing efforts to mitigate these effects.
