As part of their Eskişehir program, İYİ Party's economic team visited Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) President Metin Güler.
The meeting in the Yunus Emre Conference Hall included İYİ Party Deputy Chairman and Ankara MP Durmuş Yılmaz, Eskişehir MP Arslan Kabukçuoğlu, Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Eren Ekmen, Vice Provincial Chair Kazım Karaca, Vice Provincial Chair for Economic Development Policies Yusuf Ziya Bakırhan, Vice Provincial Chair for Local Governments Hakan Özkara, and Deputy Chair of Development Policies Can Pamir, along with ETO President Metin Güler, Assembly President Halil İbrahim Ara, and members of the ETO board.
“Pandemic Exposed Economic Realities”
ETO President Güler expressed satisfaction with the visit and briefed the İYİ Party delegation on Eskişehir’s economic structure and the activities of the chamber. Güler highlighted Eskişehir's robust trade and industrial infrastructure, emphasizing that the pandemic revealed the vital importance of a solid economic foundation for traders and industrialists. He also noted that the Eskişehir Industry Fair, the first in Anatolia to reopen post-pandemic, hosted 202 companies under the patronage of the Defense Industry Presidency. In addition, ETO’s B2B Meetings facilitated 633 discussions. Güler stressed the need for collaboration among government, political parties, business sectors, and NGOs to support long-term value creation.
“Innovative Projects Enhance Prosperity”
Güler acknowledged İYİ Party’s Artagan Project, noting that innovative projects incorporating technologies like artificial intelligence and blockchain would elevate the country’s prosperity. He expressed hope that the project would indeed bring abundance and prosperity to Turkey, as its name suggests.
Yılmaz: “Eskişehir is a Strong City”
Thanking ETO for hosting, İYİ Party Ankara MP Durmuş Yılmaz praised Eskişehir for effectively leveraging opportunities throughout its history, building substantial economic foundations. He encouraged Eskişehir not to settle for its current achievements but to strive for further advancement. Yılmaz acknowledged that the pandemic posed significant risks, especially for the service sector and industrialists, and shared İYİ Party’s policies aimed at supporting traders and industrialists with the ETO delegation.
