Highlighting the importance of supporting the "A Lot Changes with a Single Purchase" campaign launched by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Visa, Güler emphasized that small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy.
Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler made a statement regarding the "A Lot Changes with a Single Purchase" campaign initiated by TOBB and Visa. Güler stated that the campaign is aimed at supporting SMEs, the backbone of the Turkish economy, and called on everyone to make purchases from local small businesses in their region.
We Have Been the Voice of Small Businesses Since the Pandemic Began
Güler noted that the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted local and small-scale businesses the most, as it has worldwide. He emphasized that the ETO has consistently advocated for the importance of supporting tradespeople and merchants for over a year, striving to be the voice of traders, shopkeepers, and small-scale manufacturers during this challenging period. Güler explained that they have worked to raise public awareness on every platform about the importance of supporting local traders, viewing it as a matter of national significance.
Local Businesses Also Mean Employment
Güler stressed that local businesses play a critical role in the economy of the city and the country by providing employment and generating trade volume. He cautioned that the inability of local businesses to survive would negatively impact employment, leading to a rise in unemployment. ETO President Güler underscored the importance of the "A Lot Changes with a Single Purchase" campaign led by TOBB and Visa, urging everyone to support this initiative.
