ETO AND ESKİŞEHİR OSB PROMOTE INCENTIVES TO INDUSTRIALISTS

In a meeting hosted by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) and Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s Technology-Oriented Industry Move Program was introduced for the first time in Turkey through an in-person event. Speaking ahead of the program, ETO President Metin Güler urged industrialists to seize this opportunity, while OSB President Nadir Küpeli emphasized the program's potential to contribute to the growth of both companies and Eskişehir’s economy.

Held at the Vehbi Koç Congress Center, the event brought together industrialists, technology-based entrepreneurs, and officials, including Eskişehir Industry and Technology Provincial Director Muhammet Taha Güven. ETO President Metin Güler highlighted Eskişehir's strong industrial heritage and its potential to leverage this experience for greater achievements.

Program to Support Local Production

ETO President Güler noted that the Ministry’s program aims to increase value-added production in Turkey and support domestic producers, which will help reduce reliance on imports and narrow the trade deficit while enhancing local manufacturers’ competitiveness. Güler outlined that the incentive package includes land allocation and personnel expense support, among other benefits. He encouraged industrialists and entrepreneurs to act swiftly and apply.

A Strong Response from Eskişehir Firms is Expected

OSB President Küpeli expressed hope that many companies from Eskişehir would apply, emphasizing the city's capacity for producing high-tech goods. He set a goal to increase Eskişehir's high-tech exports from 15% to 20% by 2030 and assured that the Eskişehir Technology Development Zone is available to support companies. Küpeli highlighted the program’s comprehensive scope, noting that it could accelerate business growth for beneficiaries.

Following the opening remarks, Ministry of Industry and Technology Expert Adnan Yalçıncı and Project Finance Manager Pelin Işık Çakar shared in-depth information about the program's incentives for investment, employment, R&D, and innovation, also addressing questions from the attendees.
