Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) continues its support for women-focused initiatives, endorsing a campaign launched by the TOBB Eskişehir Women Entrepreneurs Board.
ETO has once again shown its commitment to gender equality in business by becoming the first professional organization in Eskişehir to sign onto the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). This historic signing reflects ETO’s endorsement of TOBB Eskişehir Women Entrepreneurs Board's campaign promoting women’s empowerment.
Women’s role in the business world is essential
ETO President Metin Güler emphasized the crucial importance of gender equality in the business world, stating, “If women are absent, we are 50% weaker. I find it redundant even to question why women should be in the economic sphere. By signing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), we make our stance clear. We aim to be both a leader and an example in recognizing the role of women in Eskişehir’s economy.”
Gürkaynak expresses gratitude on behalf of women entrepreneurs
Elif Gürkaynak, President of TOBB Eskişehir Women Entrepreneurs Board, expressed her happiness at the campaign’s growing support from local institutions and organizations. She acknowledged ETO’s continuous support and contributions to the projects of the Women Entrepreneurs Board, thanking ETO President Metin Güler for his commitment to empowering women in Eskişehir’s business landscape.
