ETO AND PROVINCIAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE DISCUSS PANDEMIC PRECAUTIONS IN WORKPLACES

Prof. Dr. Uğur Bilge, Eskişehir Provincial Health Director, visited the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) to discuss measures to be taken in workplaces as part of the controlled normalization process. He emphasized that, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, businesses should implement customer entry with a HES code, adhere to a 50% capacity limit for both indoor and outdoor seating, and strictly follow mask, distancing, and hygiene rules.

In a meeting attended by ETO President Metin Güler, ETO Assembly President Halil İbrahim Ara, and Public Health Services Director Dr. Aslı Melek Zeytin, precautions against COVID-19 and strategies to communicate these measures effectively were discussed.

Customer entry with HES code

Prof. Dr. Uğur Bilge stressed that businesses must comply with health measures to prevent a rise in cases. According to decisions from the Provincial Public Health Board, capacity for indoor and outdoor spaces should be limited to 50%, with the number of tables, chairs, and maximum occupancy carefully managed. He emphasized the importance of using the HES (Hayat Eve Sığar) code for customer entry and adhering to mask, distancing, and hygiene protocols.

Disinfection of high-contact surfaces

For employees working in close proximity, Dr. Bilge recommended double-masking and highlighted the need for frequent disinfection of high-contact surfaces, such as tables, door handles, and elevator buttons.

Everyone has a role in preserving progress

ETO President Metin Güler noted that Eskişehir’s service sector had been either closed or operating under restrictions for nearly a year due to the pandemic. He expressed satisfaction with the resumption of activities under controlled normalization but emphasized the importance of preventive measures to avoid further disruption. Güler stressed that everyone has a role in preventing a new wave of restrictions and preserving the progress made so far.
