The TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board, operating under the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO), kicked off its 2021 action plan with a general assembly meeting. During the meeting, Board President Elif Gürkaynak presented the year’s activity plan to members, and the support provided by the United Nations received high praise.
TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board continues to make an impact. In alignment with its 2021 theme, “Gender Equality,” the board shared upcoming initiatives and activities with members. Speaking at the teleconference meeting, Gürkaynak highlighted that the board has set the 2021 agenda for women entrepreneurship in Eskişehir and plans to carry out numerous events and projects with UN support.
Entrepreneurial contributions to gender equality
Gürkaynak noted that the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board, led by OPET Co-founder Nurten Öztürk, selected “Gender Equality” as its central theme for 2021. She emphasized that promoting women’s roles in gender equality requires an international vision and shared that the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) developed by the United Nations would serve as the main pillar of their roadmap for 2021.
Seminars for women entrepreneurs
Following the TOBB Eskişehir Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board’s 2021 General Assembly, a panel titled “Work-Life Balance and Negotiating for Impact During the Pandemic for Women Leaders” was held. Panelists included Ümit Anıl, author of Don’t Act; Şirin Yelmen Oktar, author of Work-Life Balance for Working Mothers and I Miss Myself; and Murat Yeşildere, author of Oh No, the CEO is Pregnant!, who shared their insights and experiences.
