With the latest food aid provided by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO), the total number of people receiving support during the pandemic has reached 3,500.
ETO provided a second round of food aid for employees working in member businesses temporarily closed due to the pandemic. Food packages were distributed to 1,000 employees working in businesses affected by closures or operating under restrictions. The packages were delivered to those in need through distribution points at ETOMÜZE and Vural Street. Previously, ETO had provided food aid to 2,500 individuals employed in temporarily closed businesses, bringing the total number of people supported during the pandemic to 3,500.
Service sector businesses await reopening
Commenting on the assistance, ETO President Metin Güler emphasized that ETO is dedicated to supporting employees in the service sector whose workplaces were temporarily closed due to the pandemic. Güler noted ETO’s efforts to help heal the sector’s wounds and resolve challenges, adding that businesses in the service sector are hopeful for the lifting of restrictions and are eager to reopen.
