Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) has successfully registered the geographical indications for Sivrihisar İncili Küpe and Sivrihisar Cebe, making it the 8th chamber among those affiliated with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) to register the most geographically indicated products.
ETO continues to preserve the city’s unique values. Two of Eskişehir’s significant cultural heritages, Sivrihisar İncili Küpe and Sivrihisar Cebe, were registered by ETO. Previously, ETO had registered Eskişehir’s Met Halva and Çibörek. With these recent registrations, Eskişehir now has four geographically indicated products registered with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, thanks to ETO.

Commenting on the registration of Sivrihisar İncili Küpe and Sivrihisar Cebe, ETO President Metin Güler expressed his pleasure in preserving and promoting Eskişehir’s unique products. He emphasized the importance of showcasing and marketing local products, stating that ETO is dedicated to passing on Eskişehir’s heritage to future generations and transforming these values into economic assets for the city.

Güler also noted that ETO is the 8th chamber among TOBB-affiliated chambers to register the most geographically indicated products and that efforts to register other products unique to Eskişehir are ongoing. He mentioned that work continues on Eskişehir Simit, Sorkun Pottery, and Mihalıççık Cherries, and reaffirmed ETO’s commitment to safeguarding Eskişehir’s local flavors and heritage.
261 products registered by TOBB-affiliated chambers
With its recent registrations, ETO is now among the top chambers under TOBB in terms of geographically indicated product registrations. TOBB emphasizes the importance of registering, promoting, and preserving local products for future generations. To date, 261 products have been registered with geographical indications by TOBB-affiliated chambers.
