ETO COVID-19 PCR TEST CENTERS NOW IN SERVICE

Companies and employees who are members of the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce (ETO) can now take COVID-19 PCR tests at special centers established at Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital and Vehbi Koç Congress Center. Companies with more than 10 employees can request to have tests conducted at their workplaces.

To protect the health of its members and their employees and to prevent the spread of the virus in member workplaces, ETO has signed an important agreement. ETO member companies and their employees can take COVID-19 PCR tests at a much lower cost than market rates. Thanks to the protocol signed with Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital, from October 19, 2020, ETO member companies and employees will be able to get a COVID-19 PCR test for 160 TL + VAT.

On-site testing for companies with more than 10 employees

ETO member companies and their employees can apply for the COVID-19 PCR test via www.etonet.org.tr. The COVID-19 PCR tests will be carried out at centers established at Vehbi Koç Congress Center and Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital. With a daily capacity of 1,500 tests, these centers also offer the option for companies with more than 10 employees to schedule on-site testing. At the request of ETO members, additional test centers will be set up in the city center.

Why is the COVID-19 PCR test important?

The PCR test plays a crucial role in the fight against coronavirus. It is particularly effective in identifying asymptomatic individuals, those who show no symptoms of the virus but can still spread it to others. The test detects whether a person is carrying the COVID-19 virus through samples taken from the nose and throat. By doing so, the spread of the disease to others can be prevented.

ETO President Metin Güler noted that the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are expected to continue into the fall and winter seasons. He emphasized the importance of both taking precautions and conducting tests to prevent the spread of the virus in workplaces. Güler stated that an agreement was made with Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital to allow ETO members and employees to access the COVID-19 PCR test at an affordable price, with the aim of contributing to the sustainability and budgets of businesses.

Dr. Ali Özdemir, Chief Physician of Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital, stated that the hospital has been authorized by the Ministry of Health to perform COVID-19 PCR tests and expressed his pleasure in serving ETO members. Özdemir emphasized that ETO members and their employees can safely take the COVID-19 PCR test with the quality and assurance provided by Eskişehir Private Gürlife Hospital.
