MUTUAL TRADE WAS PUT ON THE TABLE WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF DENMARK

Denmark's Ambassador to Ankara Mr.Svend Olling met with ECC President Mr. Metin Güler to discuss commercial relations.

Mr.Güler said that Eskişehir exports to many countries of Europe but commercial relations with Denmark are not at the expected level. He stated that very few companies from Eskişehir are doing business with Denmark and stated that Eskişehir companies which have the ability and experience to produce advanced technology can cooperate with Danish companies. He stated that Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce signed visa facilitation protocols with Italy, France and Hungary and visa exemption should be provided to Turkish businesspeople in order to improve mutual trade.

Ambassador Mr.Svend Olling said that they aim to increase the trade volume between the two countries from 3 billion Euros to 5 billion Euros. He stated that the production of pharmaceuticals, renewable energy and high-tech agricultural products is at the forefront in Denmark's economy and cooperation can be made with Eskişehir companies in these areas. He added that they are ready to share their experiences in Denmark's district heating and cooling systems, energy saving and renewable energy sector with Eskişehir companies.
