TRADE RELATIONS AND VISA FACILITATION DISCUSSED WITH GERMANY

ECC President Mr. Metin Güler met with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul Mr. Michael Reiffenstuel.

Mr. Güler shared the steps to be taken to develop mutual trade and stated that providing visa facilitation to business people in Eskişehir will accelerate the cooperation in the economy. He stated that Germany is the most important export partner of Eskişehir after the USA and they participated in fair organizations organized in Germany as ECC to further develop trade. He also drew attention to Eskişehir's breakthrough in fair and congress tourism, and stated that they are ready to cooperate for congress and fair tourism. He emphasized the importance of bringing together business people in Germany and Eskisehir, and stated that visa facilitation agreement with Germany will accelerate commercial cooperation like visa facilitation agreements with Italy, France and Hungary. 

Mr. Michael Reiffenstuel stated that they will work with the representatives of the visa department of the Consulate General regarding the visa facilitation protocol to provide convenience to business people from Eskişehir. He stated that they also carry out activities to bring together the business community of both countries. He stated that they organized "Turkish-German Trade Days" event in Bursa and they will start a work to realize the same event in Eskişehir in 2020.
