19 economic consultants and bureaucrats from 13 European Union member countries came together in Eskişehir to make a series of contacts and visits hosted by the Eskişehir EU Information Center under ECC.
ECC President Mr. Metin Güler underlined that Eskişehir's efforts to strengthen the ties between both sides by emphasizing economic and cultural cooperation with the European Union member countries. He stated that Eskişehir makes 43% of its exports to European Union member countries and that 9 EU member countries are in the top ten in the list of the city's export countries. He stated that visa exemption should be provided to Turkish businesspeople and citizens, and he hoped that the applied double standard would be ended within the framework of the readmission agreement. He added that more than 40 contacts were made with EU member countries within the scope of the fair, cooperation meeting and official visit. He stated that 106 events were organized within the scope of Eskişehir EU Information Center's activities, and 25,790 people attended the projects, trainings, panels, meetings and concerts.
EU Delegation to Turkey EU Policy Department of Trade advisor Mr.Bartosz Przywara stated that Eskişehir is a city of trade, industry and universities and has an educated population, and also attracts tourists with its good infrastructure. He added that investments have been made in Eskişehir from the member countries of the European Union, and that they will come together with the business world in Eskişehir and conduct studies.
