GÜLER: "EU SHOULD BE NEXT TO THE TURKEY"

Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Mr.Metin Guler met with Mr. Christian Berger who is the head of EU Delegation to Turkey and his delegation.

ECC President Mr. Metin Güler stated that as ECC they support Turkey's European Union  full member process and in this context activities of the ECC EU Information Center going on since 2010 in our Chamber. He added that reached 25 thousand people in 102 events organized by Eskişehir EU center. He talked about the visa difficulty applied to the Turkish business world and stated that visa obtaining should be facilitated for our citizens.

Mr. Christian Berger stated that he found the demands of the Turkish business world justified in the visa problem and that the officials of the EU Delegation in Brussels made an investigation on the issue. He stated that one of other important issue is customs union , Turkey's gross national product will increase by more than 12 billion euros by the inclusion of agriculture in the scope of the Customs Union. He noted that the PKK is on the European Union's terrorist organization list and they have been banned from the European Parliament.
